Meet Us at SEG Denver 2014 (Oct 26 - 29, 2014)

Headwave is to attend the SEG International Exposition 84th and Annual Meeting to be held in Denver, CO, October 26 - 29 2014.

Booth Location

You will find Headwave at booth #462, hall A. Stop by for an informal chat with members of our G&G team and live demo of our software functionality.

Presentation Schedule

We will do live demos on-demand every day, so make sure to stop by for a presentation of Headwave functionality.

Headwave Presentations

Frontier Exploration Using Headwave's AVO in Combination with Lumina Geophysical's CLSSA Spectral Decomposition

Designed for rapid viewing of enormous prestack datasets, Headwave easily allows you to compare migration iterations by reviewing updated to velocity fields, gather flatness and stack response, validate velocity changes with structure and quality control iterations with 3D layer-based semblance and residual move-out displays.

Headwave’s unique non-linear cross plot coloring provides complete confidence that AvO anomalies describe the 3D spatial extent of subsurface material anomalies- reservoirs and fluids. See anomalies in the subsurface – where it matters – even before they are mapped or recognized in the cross plot.

In collaboration with Lumina Geophysical, Headwave will give a demo of CLSSA – extreme high-resolution spectral decomposition – with fully interactive parameterization and visualization.

EVERY DAY: 10:00AM & 12:00PM* *Note: Lunch is served Monday & Tuesday for the 12:00 demo

The Value of data driven prestack workflows

In stark contrast to the incorrect common belief that dataset sizes and the time pressure prohibit timely access to prestack data, this presentation provides a feature-rich overview of Headwave’s application with the aim of conveying how visualization & data driven workflows for gathers are within easy reach for all interpreters, any day of the week.

Hue Presentations

Building end-to-end GPU-accelerated Geoscience Workflows

Attend this talk by the industry-leader in visualization and real-time computations to learn how your existing and future applications can be as sophisticated, productive and scalable as they should be.

Over the years, the technical challenges have changed. What is impossible with old techniques or other software may be a breeze now. For users of Hue’s technologies, large scale data visualization is no longer a challenge. Data management of terabyte seismic datasets is no longer hard. Real-time computations with full interactivity and user feedback is the new standard. Whether you’re building proprietary tools for in-house use or commercial software, this talk will provide valuable insight into how technology choices affect the outcome of your product.

Disk Drives Are (Relatively) Cheap. People’s Time Isn't - Applicability of Seismic Data Compression and Its Benefits

Hue will show how its approach to data compression has proven to offer an optimal balance of compression quality and compression performance when dealing with even terabyte sized data. Hue’s smart compression techniques result in significantly smaller files, and spending far less time on I/O and compression. In a recent study, Hue’s technique turned out to be over 20 times faster than compression recently introduced to a prominent software package.
